![]() ![]() And it is certainly not a game breaker, once you know about it, and some of the ways to cope. There are other solutions that are discussed by various fans in the comments section of the mod on Nexus.Īnd as i implied before, not everyone encounters this issue. I still Save regularly, so I have a starting point to "struggle drive" the Cyclops back to dock in case something external ends the game session. I have a computer that has plenty of capacity to do other things with the game idle in the background. Pause and minimise the game until I can come back to it. But my simple solution (which may not be practical for every player's computer situation, or every play style) is that I just don't log out of the game when I have the Cyclops away from home base. I have changed the default setting, but I still have the problem. You can change it in Options, but you probably want to change the default setting in the appropriate config file of the mod folder. The Auto-docking option is the default setting when the mod is installed. My "docking mentor" does not have the problem. In my opinion, and the opinion of the veteran player who turned ME on to the Docking mod, it is best to only use the Manual Docking option setting for this mod. Once you dock back at your original dock, under control, one time, the drift effect will be gone for the rest of that session. (And of course if you leave the Cyclops, the craft will still be trying to drift home.) You can still drive the boat, but you have to constantly adjust for the drift vector. When you log back into that save, the boat will try to moderately slowly but constantly drift back to your first-built docking collar, and dock there. Mainly, there is a "drifting home under autopilot" glitch that can occur if you log out of the game with your Cyclops away from home base. There is a Cyclops Docking Mod available on that works pretty darned well, if you are aware of its idiosyncrasies. ![]() Due to size and shape differences, that requires something different. ![]() It will almost certainly never be adapted for the Cyclops. But both the Seatruck and the Seatruck Dock are unique to that game.Īnd the Seatruck Dock is ONLY compatible with the Seatruck. In the recent update of Subnautica: Below Zero (I believe it is called Subnautica: Below Zero 2.0), they added a pretty elaborate dock for the Seatruck. And no such thing, no such effort has been mentioned among the intentions, progress, and features of the upcoming Subnautica 2.0 update. There is no Cyclops dock added in Subnautica, by Uunknown Worlds, the developers. Guess I am one of the docking gurus around here, at least on the SN side. ![]()
